Welcome to The Copious Heart of Central New York, Inc. (referred to as “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Organization”). 1. About Our Nonprofit

The Copious Heart of Central New York, Inc. is a tax-exempt/charitable organization registered in New York State in the United States. Our mission is to foster stability and dignity for neighbors in Central New York by providing for essential needs—including nutritious meals, hygienic products, and seasonal clothing. We also offer vital educational resources for those seeking guidance to address the root causes of food, financial, and health insecurity. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

2. Use of the Site

You may use our Site for lawful, informational, and charitable purposes only. You agree not to:

3. Donations

Voluntary & Non-Refundable: All donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable. If you believe an error was made, please contact us within [14] days.

Recurring Donations: If you set up a recurring donation, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on the specified schedule until you cancel. Cancellation requests must be submitted at least [7] days before the next charge.

4. Volunteer & Event Registration

When you sign up to volunteer or attend an event, you agree to provide accurate information.
We reserve the right to cancel or change event details due to low participation, safety concerns, or other reasons (in which case we will notify you).
For physical events, you assume all risks associated with participation and may be asked to sign a separate liability waiver.

All content on this Site (text, logos, images, videos, reports) is owned by or licensed to The Copious Heart of Central New York, Inc. It is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE DONATED IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Copious Heart of New York, Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New York/United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration (or small claims court) in Utica, New York, rather than in court, unless prohibited by law. Each party shall bear its own arbitration costs.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted on our homepage or via email (if you have provided it).

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
